Sorry phone died
look I dont like it. I hate wasting animal products. Any waste that happens in my home is on account of my parents and their love of wasting food.
Today i bought a whole young bird and butchered it myself and turned all the bones skin and giblets into like a gallon of chicken stock and some schmaltz (it tastes really good btw).
As for fish. I love fish. If i could eat fish fillets every day i would but its costly compared to dairy and chicken (although salmon and tuna is now cheaper than beef lol). I imagine that when i go live on my own (not including dorm life) i will probably eat all veggies fruit and fish and maybe dairy, especially cheese. I consider myself both a good cook, good at tracking nutrients, and someone who enjoys almost all foods, so it would be very natural for me and just arise from being frugal. I could cut out fish from that if i tried, however i love fish and that would probably detract from my QOL and ability to naturally get protein and Omega 3
To be honest i have a hard time viewing non mammal animals as sapient or intelligent. Especially fish and crustaceans. Yeah they are capable of expiriencing pain but still its a lot more ethical to me than pork and beef. I have a adorable cat that i love very much and i know that its no more intelligent than a cow.
Also i think honey is probably the only animal product that is beneficial to both the animal and the environment. I love honey and bees. Bees are so cute
