It's silly as fuck and honestly felt like one of those gag boss battles Gundam VS. It completely lost any grounding or sensibility the story had in favor of what is essentially a giant meta reference (literally) for the sake of one. The rule of cool can and indeed should only take you so far before things need to start making sense. It felt like they couldn't think of anything better to end it on, so they went with something they hoped would result in a whole lot of picrel (it did.)

One of the things Quuuuux made me realize is that why people always say Gundam fans have such low standards; this fanbase will literally applaud anything.
