Ok /o/ I'm looking at getting a new fun/"enthusiast" daily around 40k USD. Right now I have a GR86 which is great, but would like to get something more practical/refined.

I'd prefer lighter (no american), RWD/AWD, and manual. So far I have these on the list:

>F87 M2 (OG)
Seems like a good fit on paper, haven't had a chance to find a manual to test drive. Lower mileage nice ones do get into the mid 40s.

>Golf R MK 7.5
Definitely a nice interior and comfy as a daily, not really engaging drive, but still fun. Stupid reliable, especially for a VW. Seems like the practical choice. MK8 would be nice, but too expensive and dumb infotainment

>GR Corolla
Doesn't really feel like a step up in the refined department, but I'm trying one out tomorrow. Hopefully it impresses, they do seem fun, but I can't see it being the better choice for me over a Golf R.

>FK8 Type R
I want to test one out just to cross it off, these look like shit and FWD. Interior does seem nice though.

>VA STI
Same boat as the Corolla

>P car
I don't know enough, but I assume anything under 40 will not be a good DD, and I don't think dailying a 20 yo porsche is a great choice.

Is there anything else I'm missing anons? Am I retard?

I'm mostly leaning towards waiting for a nice M2 to pop up.
