It's sad but it kinda make sense that she felt like she lost a lot. She dated Marek for years and he was the only guy she ever was with, so she felt like her entire sense of self and stability was shaken to it's core. Eve, even through all the stuff with Park, was still actively trying to get out of her comfort zone which is why she was able to cope when Park went to Chicago.
