I do agree, I feel like the niche hasn't really been filled. People are picking up Sex in the City and Girls again and animation is more mainstream than it's been in years, so there's a market for it. I think attempts were made, with shows like Close Enough and even Inside Job but I don't think they ever really had the chance to get off the ground for real.
Having an Octopus Pie show would be great, and the Christmas animation is just a teaser of what could've been. But I think Gran is sticking to games from now on so I'm guessing we'll have to wait for Perfect Tides 2 to come out for something close to it.

yeah, they finished the first game. the name was Perfect Tides. They're working on the sequel now, it's Perfect Tides: Station to Station. From what I hear, it's following the character from the first game to their first year of college in the early 2000s. It's supposed to come out early next year.

What I like about this story is that it tells a lot about they type of person Hanna and Marigold is, in not many pages. Hanna is clearly an aspirational grindset type but gets taken advantage of because she's young and naive. Marigold is kinda a dumb suburban kid who is prone to overreact and everything seems like it's close to the end of the world. She also seeks approval from others, going as far to put her contacts in when the professor comes over that night. Hanna feels "responsible" for Marigold since she's pretty reckless and can barely hold it together compared to Hanna.
Also, I related to this comic when I was working two jobs during college. Energy drinks and fatigue were something I remember.

Also, Hanna would 1000% make any kinda group sex situation competitive.

that's great! and yeah, i'd imagine Marek would just be vibing there, enjoying everyone's company. i'm imagining if Will was in Marek's place, especially in the early comic, and he'd probably feel so weird in a spot where both the woman he had a crush on and a woman he would currently be crushing on are arguing over music before agreeing to a threesome with him involved.
