You see, if you view it as a demand curve it appears inelastic. Similar to a medication for a severe condition or drugs to an addict.

Right now a bunch of legacy companies that haven't produced anything good for a decade are trying to normalize a business model of revoking your licenses, and then re releasing a shitty $60 port they call a remaster.... or even worse nothing at all
