Like 90% of them are nothing more than a glorified mercenary description and the leader of it only appears like once in the entire game up until the point you reveal them yet the game acts like it's super shocking despite you barely having a clue who the character even is.
>Unless you play on the easiest difficulties you can't assassinate people without full on speccing into the Assassin tree, and even if you do you need to land a Critical Assassinate AND a crit in order to kill yellow named enemies maybe 30% of the time. The rest of the time you alert everyone around you from the stab.
>Have to run a glass cannon build that dies in two hits if you want to assassinate mercenaries at all.
>The mercenary system is terrible and leads to either nonstop mercs coming after you raising your wanted level if you get noticed in a camp, or telepaths that know exactly where you are and patrol where you are nonstop.
>The Diablo Loot system is complete garbage and ruins the gameplay by forcing you into builds when the AC series was never and should never be about that which is why Valhalla, Mirage, and Shadows did a 180 on it immediately.
>There is so much content reuse it's insane and you will see the exact same sanctuaries over and over again or the exact same forts over and over again with the leopard cage on one end and an elevated area on the other.
>Randomly generated events are in such limited scope that you literally see them pop in in front of you and are never worth doing.
>The EXP distribution is obscenely terrible and the only way to get good EXP at all is by picking the non-timed bounty board missions and completing them because they give a % rate of EXP.
>Tombs aren't even unique anymore, they're all snake mazes.
