Find purpose in hatred. It's what I did. My aim is to be ready to kill the people responsible for the state of the world, at least some of them. Failing that, just my personal enemies. Failing that, just people I don't like.

That task requires preparation. Fitness, skills, some assets even. And it absolutely is compelling enough to give you both motivation and discipline. Think about it fren, it might resonate with you.
