Even if I have the restraint necessary to leave him as a supporting character, it may be a good idea to avoid writing an avatar character. My dreams are acting up again and they don't seem to know who I'm supposed to be.

I've had the following dreams in the past 24 hours:
>a lengthy true-to-life dream that I don't remember
>a gross mini-dream that I never wish to think of again
>a mini-dream in which I was a black-furred werewolf from the story that I'm working on
>a mini-dream in which I was my cat persona
>a mini-dream in which I was again the black-furred werewolf of my story
>a mini-dream in which I was a gray-furred werewolf who was originally meant to be my avatar

Then again, the damage may already be done.
