The idea is that they bank mana for big payoffs while controlling the board. In reality they aren't allowed to do shit because their cards are all incredibly slow and undertuned in this game. They are forced to choose between advancing their gameplan or answering threats while most other classes can do both simultaneously. It's actual dog shit and not fun at all.
