Part of the issue is that he unironically integrated 'his' fictional faction's enmity towards them as part of his real personality, misunderstanding how the banter of others is built on roleplaying.
A second but not less worrying reason is a pathological need to get back at someone in life, so he does it in his autistic interest by desperately trying to play the part of the bully towards eldar, flip flopping between exaggerated issues in fluff, releases, rules, fanbase or whatever else.
