Monday is the deadline for both vehicle submissions and the vote for next months theme. You can submit your vehicles to this post if you haven't done so already.
Here is the link to the vote https://strawpoll.com/bVg8Bm591yY
Elite squad is still in the lead.
Next month I'll set more concrete dates and deadlines. I don't wanna be controlling but I feel it would prevent confusion and the info could be attached in the op to make it easy to see.

Humanity beats khorne by using nulls and using enforced peace.
Eldar beat khorne by meditating and wearing warmasks.
You basically have to be above khorne. But in a battle you can beat a khorne force by force because khorne himself is fair. He basically goes in with a little battle plan and limits how much he will bless and send into a battle. Once his internal limit is met he just focuses on something else.

In Angron the red angel
The GK are chasing Angron and purposely starting wars to spawn enough slaughter to get him to show up, and when they finally catch up, are so bloodthirsty to kill him and some GK's that were blood angels fall to the red thirst to such an extent that Angron just respawns and regenerates off of their aura of hatred and anger alone and is acknowledged in the book.

No it isn't retard. They're the barbarian faction, stated by multiple of the developers themselves who said the viking elements were overdone and Wolves were supposed to represent more groups than that, and they are Fenrisian, which is an entire planet.

No Chapter in 40k was ever meant to be a 1:1 substitute to a real-world culture or group, they're supposed to be weird exotic mishmashes of different time periods and places plus new sci-fi elements to create something evocative of certain tropes but also new and fresh. Nigger there are no real world ethnicities in 40k. I just got done telling you, they draw on tropes from existing cultures fucking obviously, but the actual people that exist in the 41st millennium are not even human beings as we know them. They wouldn't even genetically qualify as homo sapiens - ANY of them. All of Humanity was replaced in the Dark Age of Tech by fucking engineered test tube babies made to be more adaptable to foreign planets at a faster rate.

Then another fucking ~25k years went by on bizarre planets scattered all over the galaxy plus mutations from warp influence and other factors.

There are no Scandinavians in 40k. Or for that matter Africans, or Anglos, or Asians, or Jews, or Arabs, or fucking Aborigines, or anything else. All of them are long dead, gone, extinct, replaced somewhere between year 10k and 20k by an entirely new race of genetically engineered designer colonist babies. Every fucking bloodline that exists today is obliterated. Whatever colonized Fenris could have looked like anything ethnically, and then they rapidly would diverge across the planet and evolve faster generation to generation than normal humans, so that by year 40k a Fenrisian can look like fucking anything depending on what part of the planet they came from, because again, it's an entire fucking planet, so it could have 100 different ethnicities on it just like Earth does today, instead of one brand of snownigger.

>What are the sisters of battles official numbers since we're talking battle armor bolter troops?
Nobody knows. The big six are 'a few thousand' but can be upwards of ten thousand or more.
Minor orders are founded all the time, battle groups split from a larger Order for various reasons, or newly founded for a specific purpose.
The smallest formal size of an Order is a Preceptory, 1000 sisters and their hardware, but numbers aren't hard-capped.
Sisters will be present at all large ecclesiarch holdings, and they found at most churches, cathedrals, shrines, etc.
There are forgotten shrines to venerate forgotten deeds of forgotten saints that still have a lonely sister assigned to them. It's likely a retirement opportunity more than anything.

And then there was one edition, I think 6th, where GW retconned away half the main 6, and Every Single Minor Order, without any explanation. And just as quietly de-retconned it in the very next edition.

It is pretty obvious that Chapter/Legion culture is just cargo cult echoes of actual terran cultures or evolved as such convergently. But in reality they also recruit from a fuckton of worlds, meaning that different ethnicities can and would happen from time to time.
We literally have a recent (9th edition i think?) artwork of a caucasian White Scar so you can't pretend like it only goes one way and its some sort of heckin' white erasure. And Suck Can (or w/e his name was) was a pretty asian-looking Salamander.

Chapter recruiting practices vary, Space Wolves literally only recruit from Fenris, so the diversity would match what Fenris is, and we know that Fenris has limited and irregular sunlight, so for the millenia humans have lived there the need for excess melanin would have been quite literally left behind even if the planet had been originally populated by individuals with high melanin levels
Ultramarines and Imperial fists, on the other hand, have wildly different recruiting planets and environments, so seeing a lot of marine diversity wouldn't be too odd here
some chapters even have geneseed that while pure changes the basic genetic make up of a neophyte, the Blood Angels geneseed is infamous for being able to take mutated freaks that barely resemble humans and turn them into glorious golden haired gods with perfect physical features

You would have to make the marines REALLY dependent on them, which is extremely fucking difficult to do. The only example that comes to mind is that one chick in world eaters in 30k, but even then that wasnt loyalty that was just some respect, with the backing of angron. I second Fire Caste and Day of Ascension. Both are worth reading.

I have read Deathworlder, and while its not terrible, i think you really have to love Catachans to make this book work. I dont mind them, but after a while the constant "catachans are the best at xy" "we are no dumb brutes" "catachans are really good at xy, you know?" becomes tiresome. Most of them are female too, so if that is something that bothers you, this will be a red flag, as big as the biceps of the catachan muscle mommies in that book.
The story itself is not bad, a team of catachans (+ some addon characters) have to reach a research facility on a tyranid infested planet, before the planet is gone.

I would recommend the Bastion Wars Omnibus. All 3 books are quite good, and they read like a military story rather than a 40k story. reason for this is not only that the writer was enlisted in the Australian Forces, but also he got a bit too much "inspiration" from some memoires of some Irak/Afghanistan veterans. Black Library removed him when this was made public. But since he copied from good books, this means his books as a result were also quite good

>worthless lore
If you pick yourbarmy solely for their appearance and no other reason, you are liable to become very lonely as you hobby.
If you bring Marines to your store, people will look at them and compliment not only how they look, but also (You) have made them. They will recognize your units and in doing so see your playstyle, your preference, and they will appreciate you for it. They will talk with you over lore and stories and characters, and appreciate when you make a Chapter of your own. There will be bonding.
But if you bring Eldar, nobody will care beyond your paint jobs. They will not recognize your units and thus will simply ignore and forget them. They will not know Eldar lore because why should they delve into something that's bad, so they will not respect your army and thus not respect you. You will not bond over your stories and characters because Eldar don't even HAVE worthwhile stories or characters. You'll be left with no one to appreciate your work except yourself, and in solitude you will rot.

Sanguinius, Ferrus Manus, Horus, Kurze. Any of the others are fine. Sanguinius and Horus in particular would be such a jump the shark lore-raping moment it would utterly destroy any integrity left in the setting, which is already suffering quite badly. The other two would also be obnoxious and unnecessary asspulls but they wouldn't unravel the entire mythos.

If GW does start bringing more back, I think they should also kill off at least one that's currently alive. Guilliman would be a good choice since he's pretty much already fulfilled his narrative function once other Primarchs exist to step in.

Dorn coming back isn't the worst option, but he doesn't really do a lot different than Guilliman in terms of being a grizzled, jaded commander set on ruling the Imperium

There was room for the Lion to be more interesting and have some tension with Guilliman but that immediately got swept under the rug

Khan coming back could actually be kino because he barely agreed with the Imperium in 30k, so the culture shock of M42 would probably see him be a near renegade but still ultimately in the service of the Emperor

iron hands don't matter, white scars don't matter, raven guard don't matter, salamanders don't matter, and the one and only reason why imperial fists could possibly maybe one day matter has to do with black templars and crimson fists being way too iconic, and because chaos might be getting a 5th (aspiring)god-legion, requiring a foil, which dorn would cover well, for the better or worse.

Which would be a good reason to kill Guilliman as I mentioned above. If GW insists on moving the plot forward then they need to ACTUALLY give us some fucking character deaths because as is this war setting where no one important ever dies is completely losing its edge. I'd argue that Blood Angels, Imperial Fists and White Scars are the most important legions in the history of the Imperium because they were the ones who won the Siege of Terra and ultimately the Heresy itself.

Space Wolves accomplish next to nothing in their entire lore, including Armageddon and other 40k era events.

Abaddon dying would only be good for Chaos at this point, let them fracture without a unifying leader, or have Lorgar get off his panzy ass and step up.

Eldrad is old as fuck anyways, his bones are already crystal, let him die.

I'd say Chaplain Cassius for the Ultramarines had a good run, he could die and be replaced by a younger fiery Reclusiarch.

LET DANTE FUCKING DIE ALREADY THE MAN IS BEGGING FOR IT.

The head of the Deathwing or Ravenwing for Dark Angels.

Almost any named Wolf Lord would be fine in the Space Wolves, probably not Ragnar though he's too iconic.

Guard already lost Yarrick and Creed, let them be unless they kill off Creed's daughter too because everyone hates that ugly bulldyke.

Tau already lost a number of characters I believe.

Tyranids and GSC have none to speak of really, Tyranid characters aren't even really characters.

Necrons you could probably kill Imhotek or something. Leave Szeras and the Silent King they're cooking stuff up.

Dark Eldar has had so little development for Vect lately I don't want to see him die, he deserves more limelight first. Maybe kill Lelith already since she joined the Ynnari, traitor bitch.

Orks uhhhh ermmm I can't think of any characters whose deaths would necessarily feel narratively interesting, Ghaz is still driving plots and is fun, did they kill Nazdreg? I think they need to give Orks more. They killed the

Grey Knights killing people who saw them is a weird reddit/1d6 thing few pieces of Matt Ward fluff way. In most books grey knights mind wipe and have a problem with it as taking away memories removes part of the person. A lot of the edgy shit wasn't really reflected in their stories. They would even hold on to soul stones when fighting daemonic incursions on craft worlds until the Eldar arrived to take them back. Realistically, after the great rift opened grey knights should be more present and much less likely to even mind wipe after an incursion.
