It's strange, I haven't heard any case-studies from game developers(aside from the one you posted just now) running live service stuff or seen libraries/services specifically made to solve MMO problems as opposed to FAANG companies who seem to drop their new secret sauce every quarter. I feel like there's huge potential in writing something for player/world management, especially something to handle rollbacks, which not even New World could(or was willing) to do DESPITE being directly under Amazon. Also sharding worlds akin to what Star citizen suggested.
Then again, I haven't looked into cloud architecture from a gaming perspective, so maybe I'm just ignorant.
