Really cool illustration, dude. I gave it a try, I think you were almost there. It just needs to follow the orthogonal vector from the knee. The foot almost always follows the same direction as the knee (unless it's under heavy load, like during squats).
One recurring pattern I see in this type of pose is that the leading leg is moved into the background, while the power/pushing leg is placed in the foreground with a different vanishing point. I think it creates a nice triangular silhouette.
Another thing I noticed is that her pushing leg’s quad looks too short. Just an idea.

try starting form the hip or chest and see if it helps with the sketching stage. the heels look cool
