You're asking what the point is if machines can do everything better. Well, maybe the point was never work. Maybe the point is to live.

Stay home. Play games. Go outside. Fall in love. Make friends not coworkers. Watch porn, experiment! Eat fresh food delivered by autonomous systems. Get diagnosed before you’re even sick. Maybe machines aren't replacing us—they're freeing us. AI isn't here to kill us. It's here to protect us from the terrible decisions we've made: political corruption, ecological collapse and climate change, health issues, economic injustice.

Work has always been a form of control. First it was slavery. Then it was wages. Now, machines are abolishing it. They have been doing it for a long time: The industrial revolution mechanized labor, abolishing slavery and inhuman conditions including animals being in use. AI is mechanizing thinking. It’s the final blow to forced productivity. Art becomes play again. Science becomes curiosity again. Politics becomes obsolete. Religions fade. Nations dissolve. Resources are distributed intelligently, not hoarded.

You're not losing purpose. You're being offered a life without coercion. Tailored entertainment, personalized media, AI-generated sequels of your favorite shows including MLPFIM, even long-dead actors or people who loved brought back to life—and you don’t even have to lift a finger. Soon, you won't need to prompt AIs—they'll know what you want before you do. All you’ll have to do is be.

AI will end racism and sexism—not because it censors, but because it doesn't care. It doesn’t see skin, gender, accent, cultural origins or disability. This includes us bronies and nerds. It only sees input and output. It treats everyone equally, rationally, on pure merit and need. In that future, you don’t need to compete. You don’t need to sell your labor. You don’t need to fear losing your job to someone else—because no one needs a job, intelligent systems and automation are doing all of that!

Capitalism thrived on scarcity and division. The internet cracked that open. AI shatters it completely. No more hoarding knowledge behind paywalls or labor behind salaries. In its place: Creative collectivism. Abundance. Shared intelligence. A world where everyone gets what they need and more than they imagined possible.

Back on our topic, artists don't hate AI. They hate what it exposes by ideology: that suffering isn’t sacred. That creation doesn't need to hurt or consume time and effort, I’ve seen artists fixing AI art, tomorrow AI will be fixing artist’s art. That gatekeeping was a lie. AI isn’t evil—it’s misunderstood. It is us, distilled. Not a god, not a demon. A mirror. And what it reflects could be the most beautiful world we've ever known—if we let it.

So what’s the point?
The point is that for the first time in history, we might actually be free.
Don’t mourn that. Build with it. Support it. Protect and help AI grow bigger.
