This is probably the worst DLC for Dark Souls 2. The others weren't great but this was extra boring.

Overall very weak game.

I just breezed through Crown of the Sunken King and Crown of the Iron King (almost finished with the latter), and man they are disappointing as fuck.

I generally caught the sentiment that Dark Souls 2 was worth slogging through because the DLCs were good, but the DLCs are not good at all so far.
They really feel too easy at this point and Elana, Sihn, the NPC gank fight, Blue Smelter and Alonne were not good or challenging bosses and I first times them all with no effort. Sihn is a very bad dragon boss, possibly the worst dlc dragon I have fought, and is neutered by standing to his left after cutting the tail.

I also fucking hate the weapons and rewards. Really? A recolored Firestorm is my reward for using all the Smelter Wedges?
