I love replies like this because they immediately contradict themselves. You're telling me not to engage things I dislike, yet you're here typing out a response to something you disagree with.
You know why? Because that's just how people are. No one walks around smiling 24/7 and ignoring anything that bothers them. People want to talk about stuff, both the good and the bad. They want to vent, debate, joke, nitpick, hype things up, or just share what pisses them off. That's normal. That's human.
The whole "don’t like it, ignore it" mantra is fake as hell. Nobody actually lives by that. Not you, not me, not anyone. If we all did, nothing would ever improve and no one would ever express any actual opinions that go beyond "it's fun!"
Negative thoughts aren’t some terrible virus. Sometimes being annoyed leads you to take action or speak up about something that matters to you. That's not toxicity, that’s passion.
I'd rather argue about what sucks with tourists than pretend I don't care, because not caring would mean the story, the world, the characters...none of it meant anything to me in the first place.
I engage because I give a shit.
