There's a massive disconnect between the base and DLC which is really weird because you need to kill two base game bosses to reach the DLC. Why do you need Messmer's flame anyway? Is the Giant Flame one-time only and the Frenzied Flame doesn't work? Your character can be one final boss fight away from burning the entire world to ashes and you can't do shit about that.

And nobody in the base game cares about the DLC's events. Not even Gideon who's whole character is about becoming All-Knowing and rewarding you for giving him new information. Malenia's no different, Jerren doesn't react, nobody.
