Remember that New Year's Kiss scene where the guys are gawking at women and talking about how hot they are so Mordecai goes over unsolicited and gets one's phone number, and the girl turns out to be an uncaring shithead Mordecai was lucky to dodge a bullet with? I can't imagine Jillian writing the story that way since she can't even handle high school boys calling classmates "hot" or "cute" and having a normal ass interest in the opposite sex.
