I had a Vietnamese work colleague in Australia. He had just got back from holidays in Vietnam visiting his relatives. I was asking him what's it like there and would he want to go back and live there some day (as I was interested in maybe moving there, but I didn't tell him that), and he said "no way, when I got off the plane and arrived back in Sydney I kissed the ground"

I've subsequently travelled to a few different South east Asian countries and I could see the point he was making.
