Yeah but it's a lot of frag, roughly 750 vs shields or armor per salvo - residual armor and adjusted for shield efficiency but you're not going to use a single cat either so consider it at face value for the example. Plus there's the EMP which is occasionally real useful. That's still fucking nothing. Except how about with fast missile racks? Taking fucking pegasus for this wtf. How about a venture? It's civilian hull so it doesn't fall under the DP fleet/skill cap, its main source of damage are replenishing missiles so it can run with so or injector for quite decent speed and you can field them for 14 DP base. Nigga, that's 8 or less DP with all the DP reductions out there. That's a lotta not so shitty ventures killing both your enemies and your FPS.

Alex is just dumb as a sack of shit for trying to simultaneously balance the game for players that run crap like that and the people that go I like chaingun because it goes brrrr at the same time. And he's been trying and failing at it for years. Still a fun game he made so I'll give him that.
