I love both abilities. Both are insanely powerful. But for my dog build, which is pretty point heavy, I use Castigator's because I can get away with only putting one point into it. While I feel like I need at the very least, the cooldown reduction on BTL to make it feel as good as it is.
Also - Castigator's Stance with the CD reduction and three CD Reduction Curios is closer to being like 10 or so seconds when you're not using it. Making it even more absurd.
This is the build I completed Havoc 40 with (you got 1 free point, I prefer shield plates, but anything you want is fine), without a dedicated group, just randoms online, no microphone or anything. And I not only found it to have a solution to every problem because of how many free points Castigator's Stance afforded me, Castigator's Stance itself gives you the best oh fuck button in the game. Shit saved me and my team dozens of times.
