There's a ticket from 2023 to implement that: https://github.com/duolicious/duolicious-frontend/issues/43 I didn't get around to writing it because I felt like users would get more out of other features (e.g. audio messages, "online" indicators, replying to messages, sending images, etc), so I prioritized those. It's an easy ticket though, so if an anon wants to contribute that feature, they can probably thoughtlessly ask an LLM to write it. Who has a Cursor subscription?

I think I need to adjust the matching algorithm to be more careful about matching people by sexual preferences. Those kinds of preferences are important for a lot of users and I don't think the algorithm puts enough weight on them.
