I may have jumped the gun, I've been visited a bunch of other locations, and whilst still a lot darker, it's not as bad as Breezehome, but I don't remember installing anything that may have altered Breezehome in any way.
I'll keep visiting various keeps, caves, ruins and what nots, see what I'll find.
