It is bizarre to me that some people are so hyper-fixated on having an, "improved version of their original experience" and what exactly those "improvements" are.
Like, all of this fucking effort to recreate the exact experience of playing Pokemone Red/Blue on a GameBoy Color, just brighter and bigger.
Not higher definition, just "bigger". Even going as far as artificially emulating the fucking spaces between pixels on the GBC's screen. The game is technically at a higher resolution but only so the filter can fit to re-shrink each pixel into a box, as if it's literally the GBC screen but "HONEY I GREW UP THE KID" shit flown in.
