GBA version has 2x EXP, 3x Gold, and has a Run option by default. I'm sure you can patch the SNES version to have all these features and that would make it the superior version, but I like the idea of playing the GBA version on a GBA clone.

Anbernic RG34XX for the OG form factor. If you want SP, there's the RG35XXSP or the RG34XXSP. The first one is significantly thicker than the SP because we're not 10 years old anymore and have bigger hands, but if you want the original SP size, the second one is the same thing but a near 1:1 size with the SP and there's analog sticks, also the screen is a unique 3:2 ratio like the original GBA, which some people find annoying when playing non-GBA games on it. For more SP options, the Miyoo Flip V2 fixes the aspect ratio while keeping the same size and analog sticks as the RG34XXSP, however some people have had problems with the hinges being fucked up, mostly on the gray models, so either pick another color or go with the Anbernic models. Lastly, if you don't actually care about having a handheld that actually looks like the OG or SP, pretty much any $50 budget handheld will emulate GBA perfectly, so just pick one and it'll probably work fine.

For example, myself, wanted something like the RG28XX/MagicX 2.8 inch screen horizontals to play some N64 and DreamCast on, had so since 2022 or so. All I needed to know were their specs to know if they could do what I wanted to or not, got the experience I expected with both the RG28XX and the MagicX Mini Zero 28 (basically the RG28XX with better shoulder buttons and additional analog sticks. The RG28XX d-pad works for a lot of 3D titles, but mostly ones like Crazy Taxi. It does NOT work well for games like Sonic Adventure 2).

I'm trying to run PS1 game on a phone with specs comparable to the RP5 (picrel) using Duckatation, and it runs in seconds per frame, if it loads to begin with. Default settings, 1x resolution, vulkan/opengl/software renderer, safe mode, different game -- nothing works, same result. What the fuck do I do? Am I missing some retarded setting that is on by default? There's nothing wrong with the phone, it runs Android apps and games just fine.

My version actually has 12Gb of RAM, so that's definitely not an issue. But I think I found a culprit.
Variable refresh rate.
Set screen to 60Hz -- works just fine. Setting it back to Auto refresh rate immediately fucks up the game. This is a very weird issue, I do not have vsync turned on, it shouldn't affect anything, but it does. Well, at least it is somewhat solved for now.

Worms 3D is so good (gamecube emulation), I can't believe it's got a fucking 70 on metacritic. It's got destructible environments that work better than minecraft, predating it by 5 years.
I think it's a skill issue for every journo who played it. Trying to angle a bazooka or grenade in 3D is more than twice as hard as in 2D, but that just means you need to get a little closer. Given enough time, you'd eventually get good at aiming.

Pixel has hardware issues which make noise crackling, the screen is dogshit, it's only usable because of Minui. the Bubble has no Minui port, and I consider ES to be a cesspool of reddit ass cancer. I tried 5 times to put GammaOS on it but it just bootloops because the dev is a fucker and you have to manually create a bootable SD with some garbage software which does not work. the default OS and PlumOS are both absurdly slow to boot and shit a fuckload of folders all over the SD card. This isn't the same shader, or is the same filter after some tweaking on how transparent the black grid is.
The retard's shader brightens the middle pixel while putting a harsh dark grid around the brightened pixel making everything look like laughable vomit.
You can see the exact same resolution and grid used here, but the black grid is like half as harsh and the middle pixel is the original pixel's proper colour. It's literally just a fucking South American zoomer drawing one of the worst shaders ever, being proud that it works at all, and then spamming it nonstop here for the past thirteen fucking threads or so while claiming anyone who doesn't adore it as much as he does, "doesn't actually play video games."
