Anglo-Orthodoxy is the absolute zenith of occidental ortholarping with ludicrous claims that “England was Orthodox before 1066”. They claim the obscure and debated Nova Anglia settlement in Crimea was Orthodox English fleeing evil Catholic Norman rule, and say since the pope blessed the invasion and provided a papal banner to William, this totally proves they were Orthodox, and by that I mean they really say the British Isles practiced full blown Eastern Orthodox Christianity with the exact same liturgy, theology, icons, the whole deal, exactly as it was in the east.
