It has become apparent I don't have a brain. Thinking about it, I don't think I have ever done a nuzlocke all the way through with-out cheating. Instead of doing anything complex, I'm going to a basic nuzlocke of the baby game.

Lucia vaporized Viola's Surskit, I left her in to use stunspore on Viola's Vivillon. Lucia got down to 5 hp before the infestation wore off, and I could bring out Freyja to finish the fight. If I had gotten worse rolls on the paralysis Lucia would have died. I though I made a mistake, not switching into Freyja immediately since I knew infestation was coming, but after shoving it into the Smogon damage calculator, if I switched to Freyja after the Surskit was dead, there was a reasonably high chance she could have died. I would rather lose Lucia than Freyja, doubly so with two bug types on my team already.
