The VP9 somehow had a better trigger than the P30 I shot despite being striker vs SA/DA. I hate the paddle mag release, I don't care if it's technically better once you train with it for months. I'm not going to learn an entirely new way to change mags just for one gun. Luckily they make a button release model, and I'd reccomend you get that version. The ergos of the VP9/p30 are very, VERY nice. Everyone I've seen pick one up has this lightbulb moment where they say it fits like a glove made just for them. They are about as reliable as a handgun could possibly be, similar to the USP in that manner. The main drawback is the trigger isn't actually that nice compared to a PDP or similar "good trigger" especially the p30 which shot worse groups than the vp9 due to the poor SA trigger despite being almost identical to the vp9. The other main drawback most people don't talk about is they are both as snappy as the PDP which often gets flak for being snappy. It's not a huge problem, it's just going to slow you down a bit compared to other pistols like the Echelon, FN 509, Glock 17 ect. Up to you if you think that downside is worth the upsides.
First day in Argentina went great, unfortunately my Argentinian buddy who got here 5-6 days earlier than me to visit his family here already got mugged a couple days ago. Poor guys like 5'2" he's victim sized. Ballsy fucker managed to convince them that he didn't have any bank accounts or cards so he only lost the cash he had loose in his jacket pocket. I wish I was able to carry my 509c here.
