This land reform proved to be a great success. As the "new pioneers" arrived into the Orcish lands, a form of segregation arose: Orcs outside the Redtusk Autonomy would be treated as second-class citizens, having their lands constantly confiscated ("reclaimed"), forced to work the fields, serve as bodyguards or in the military, so on. They had become become almost like slaves or serfs, even though both practices were officially abolished during Wolfden's reign.
Regardless of morality, the new practices nearly doubled Corintar's income, so they were clearly doing something right. Serek's next concern was Marrhold; ever since Reanna broke the ties between the two nations, their relations had become very antagonistic. While most other rulers would try to restore relations, Serek saw an opportunity: Marrhold was in control of Ordham, a region inhabited primarily by Orcs. This created a perfect casus belli for Corintar - the Marrods may have not been exploiting the Orcs now, but who's to say that wouldn't change? Sure, the conditions for Orcs were even worse in Corintar, but at least Orc discrimination was de jure banned!
Just like that, a new war began. Marrhold was isolated and had few allies - the petty realms of the Count and Covernbald. The war went with little issue; the enemy armies were spread out and easy to slaughter one by one. The north was guarded by an obscene amount of forts, so the Marrodic troops went westwards, where they were quickly stopped by the combined might of Corintar and Ravenmarch. Seeing the hopeless situation, Marrhold surrendered and conceded defeat. Corintar had reached the peak of its power.
After that, Serek's reign was mostly peaceful, a true Golden Age to the Corintari people. For the first time in many decades, actual attention was paid to the south, which saw the rise of many farm estates, rich trade cities, the estates regaining their old privileges, thousands upon thousands converting to the Corinite faith...
