Mass censorship has always been the norm and is necessary for a healthy society to flourish. In the Renaissance for example there were brutal censorship laws for basically everything, and yet the people in this period created some of the most beautiful masterpieces in the history of art, most of them were autistic white males who had no way to satisfy their carnal desires with pornography or algorithmic-slop and so had more energy and time to master artistic and creative expression.
Ironically, with all these censorship laws around they had more freedom than we have now as if one of these artists were to live today he would be thrown from a young age in the internet by his unnatending parents and would eventually land in one of the many rabbit holes of degeneracy created by the algorithm where creativity comes to die and conformity becomes the norm.

You couldn't talk shit about the Pope, about the church or about the government and yet they gave us some of the most beautiful masterpieces in the history of art: the Human Spirit of these artists was intact, away from degeneration and sin.
