Face dragon isn't making a board, they're smashing face and leaving themselves open. It feels like an actual race. Rune is stalling as much as they possibly can, while using plain stupid legendary cards that advance their gameplan a huge amount even if you deal with them. I can play wards to play around one, I can't just ward against rune because they will eventually auto win if they don't giga brick, which they almost never will because they draw like crazy.

I'm not asking to only have back and forth board fighting be every single match up, but I just wish there was some way to outplay Rune when it's just "Hope they brick and didn't highroll/Hope you didn't brick and hope they don't highroll."

I'm fine with this sort of deck existing, but don't make it good, no one likes to play against this shit. You lost because they have overtuned cards that mean they get closer to a win even if you beat them down if you can't hit face, and you lost because they have an auto win bullshit combo card at 10, unless you have ambush, and even then they might be able to kill you with giant storm cards off satan or 6 burn damage, or double Kuon letting you OTK with an open board.
