i grew up in the backwoods of WV. in town down the hill people have real houses and the cities are walkable. where this place in WV is there aren't retarded zoning laws that prevented business and residence to be segregated. the first time i walked through a suburb i was 24 and genuinely terrified. it was a total ghost town. there were no children outside. no doors open. all windows were blinded shut. not a single garage door was open. no music, no noise. while i was surrounded by a sea of copy and paste houses there was not a soul in sight. zero sign of life. it felt like i was in a silent hill game. the sidewalk also abruptly ended so i had to walk through peoples yards to get to where i was going. maybe it was a shit suburb. i really don't know what a good or bad one is. they are a foreign concept to me. it was hopefully the first and last time i'll ever have to step foot in one for as long as i live.
