Please consider the fact that manga is mostly black and white for the purposes of saving time nd not making the artist/editor lives hell. If you look at Nihei's coloured pages you'll see that it's got plenty of vibrancy despite being a bleak and oppressive setting.
All I'm saying is to sometimes remember that colours other than grey and black exist.
