I just saw the movie, OP is real and straight. VAs, the Turning Red lady and some other Pixar people were there and answered nothing questions from kids like “will there be an Elio 2” (they didn’t take any questions from adults to avoid any real questions) that didn’t reveal much.

Everything is already in the promos (like his underwear being seen briefly) and this one in the gif was actually cut from the final movie unless I fell asleep briefly
