I think you're wrong, anon, picrel. There's a lot of reports of cruise missiles and drones vectoring to attack cities from the West, for example.

That's the part that seems really tough to me to jerry-rig. You have to have dispersed laser emitters (maybe part of the APKWS SAM site) tied to a radar / optical+IR sensor net that's easy and cheap to produce and that's slaved to the APKWS firecontrol. Do you see that as being even reasonably effective?
