But isn't Homura more like a Nietzshean Ubermensch, than a religious figure? A human without divine origins, who rejects not just idols, but the only known god - Madoka?
I feel like that's the closest to what the writers had intention for, with the rest - like comparisons to Christianity and Buddhism being only speculative?
