I finished mine like 3 years ago (also started mine when I was like 13 lol), and yes there is a weight off you shoulders. Innovation in the firearms industry has been dead for the last 10-15 years. We're just trying to recreate the same platforms over and over again and I just got bored. I was in a LGS and holding some polymer, striker fired 9mm and I just felt nothing. All I could think of was "I have like 4 of these at home"

I havent bought anything new in over a year, unless I hold or shoot something that feels really good in the hand, Im not falling for the marketing anymore and frankly ive been much happier
