I got a house again too this cycle, after my old one got demolished during my hiatus. Unfortunately, all my furniture and stuff is gone for good, I thought it would just be in storage or something if I got another house but that's not the case. I saw online that you could get it back from the resident caretaker or whatever it's called in the housing district, but I guess it's been too long and it's all gone from there as well. I read that sometimes people have received a one time item restoration from a GM, so I submitted a ticket asking for that. I spent like 10 million gil materials and furniture to furnish my old place so hopefully it happens.

But now I'm neighbors (again) with my footwife Wookie Feet@Malboro uwu >.<
