I just talked to a guy yesterday who basically did all this. Wasn't even preaching to him, the topic just came up when I mentioned that sometimes, for some people sheer willpower is not enough to get out of certain situations or life issues, which is when some would either just give up or end up just relying on God instead to help them forward in life.

He began super aggressive out of nowhere as if I just insulted him or some shit and started saying stuff like:
>"Don't bring up talks of God to someone who was born with issues and has an actual working brain"
Then just went on some long tirade about all the usual patterns you see people who don't understand religion actually have in mind against it.

It was weird as fuck to just see it like that out in the open and out of nowhere. It's like it just really hurt it and pissed him off to even hear the idea of relying on God being a thing that could actually help people, cause he just sees it as being "weak" and "delusional" or some shit like that.

And, I mean, I told him I wasn't trying to convert him or anything, it was just a passing mention I made. It's ultimately still his choice whether he wants to try and continue living life in the current miserable state he seems to be in and seeing if he push through it via sheer willpower alone or not.
