I wouldn't have keep playing if it wasn't for Lupa. The Echo system is still as aids as it was when I first dropped it. Exploration and combat is fun. But gearing your character, while I'm 100% sure doesn't take any longer than your average gacha, feels like trash.

Don't even get me started on the weekly mats needed to level skills past 6. It makes me want just sit Lupa there and just have her look pretty, rather than level her.
