The opposite, actually, we absolutely love it.
I don't think I've ever met a single player that even remotely felt annoyed about it.

Pretty sure that the problem lies with it being presented to suits and not players. Players would have fun with their faction being grey, while suits are worrywarts and do not understand what could be fun about playing around such "bad" quirks.
