as a 5/6 legend, ultimates are good but the reason people want them to be more difficult is just to gatekeep others, you can see this since top days, and i'm not saying look at the e-celebs, the e-celebs share that opinion (arthars which is a piece of shit chink that needs to die) because they want the views, they want the prestige of clearing that ult, and they get it but they don't want your average andy to be "on the same level as them"
in the top discord this was pretty common, people were rooting AGAINST pf clearers and laughed when someone made a mistake and clipped it
with fru, people claim it was easy but it's actually one of the best designed fights in a long time, but since more people were into it they're weaving this tale of it being as easy as uwu
i've said it before and i'll say it again, ults are for your own enjoyment and everyone else, every elitist will try to take that achievement from you or will downplay you in any way, so do them for yourself and whenever you see someone asking for ults to be harder, remember it's not because they want a harder challenge, they just want to be part of something exclusive and their achievement means everything to them because they have nothing else going on in their life
