Strawberry shortcake is much different than the cake you described, though I have had it too and its good. I think most people like coconut cake. I like key lime pie but only once in a while, and it matters how its made.

Strawberry shortcake is just short cakes with strawberries and the juice they yield with milk or cream on top. I am sure you would like that. At least that is how its served around here. Some dont add milk. But here we pour it in till its soggy and practically like eating a bowl of cereal.

Now I have a craving for it, or strawberry ice cream.
