I don't know what the specifics of how things work exactly, nobody does either unless it can be proven somehow beyond reasonable doubt, but as I said before, if Man is built in the image of God, than so too is God built in the image of Man. Whatever stage of physical, mental, and spiritual development we are currently in, by that reasoning, so too is God as well, in some shape, way, or form.
So in other words, anon, God is limited and not all-powerful. Just like us. And if God is actually able to do everything and anything at will, but chooses not to, then that means God might be doing something really messed up by letting us live and suffer in this imperfect world, just like what Humans do as well to each other. The point is that God is imperfect somehow in many ways more than one, just exactly like how Humanity is. What the hell is wrong with God? It's for the same reason as for what the hell is wrong with Humanity? Why are we here? Why are we like this? Who am I? What is the purpose of life? Why, why, why? So on and so forth.
And where am I coming up with this reasoning? Because as I said, I believe consciousness is fundamental, it's even more fundamental than our own existence itself. And I use my consciousness to give me insight on who and what God really might be and what they're trying to accomplish. And the conclusion I've come to for now, is that God is built in the image of Humanity, with all of it's good and it's evil, just as much as Humans are built in the image of God. I'm not speaking from verified truth in any capacity whatsoever, I'm just simply making a guess based on the premise of "consciousness is fundamental". That's pretty much how it goes for me.
