See, I don't think that's true at all. Most people did not at all complain that "this does not feel like battlefield", the chief complain was about histoical accuracy of women serving in WWII. And the inclusion of cripples. (The one woman in the trailer had a prosthetic arm, and people feared the game would be some gender equality handy capable body positive kumbaya bullshit, and again: pointed out how a one armed dyke wouldn't be allowed to serve at the front lines). The Idea that the majority of complaints was people worried that it "didn't feel like battlefield" I think is entirely false.
