To be quite frank, I recently re-watched the BFV trailer and went: "What was everyone pissing and shitting themselves about? This looks fun, actually". See, I don't think that's true at all. Most people did not at all complain that "this does not feel like battlefield", the chief complain was about histoical accuracy of women serving in WWII. And the inclusion of cripples. (The one woman in the trailer had a prosthetic arm, and people feared the game would be some gender equality handy capable body positive kumbaya bullshit, and again: pointed out how a one armed dyke wouldn't be allowed to serve at the front lines). The Idea that the majority of complaints was people worried that it "didn't feel like battlefield" I think is entirely false.

An asset flip is when someone takes some assets from an asset store, (like a base map), and just plops some playable characters on that map and shits it onto steam as a barely game. Called so, because you are essentially just flipping the assets you got from the store / for free, instead of building upon them like you are supposed to do.
A company re-using their assets in sequels instead of re-making every asset from hand is not a "flip". They're not fucking you over if they're still perfectly fine assets to use, that fit in the scenario.

Battlefield has lost that sense of scale where you actually feel like you're fighting in a war or something. Now it just feels like cheap cod. I'd rather play mw2/mw3 ground war honestly. The gunplay is just a level above.

Have only played 3 and a half matches but I like it. The beta only having small maps means its hard to judge how tanks and air stuff feels, but overall it feels like BF4, but close quarter actions leads to more twitch shooty stuff. My main gripe right now is that moving ur gun around is a bit floaty, even with nvidia reflex set to boost, it feels a bit like playing with vsync on.

Aiming feels sluggish like 4 and TTK is midtier which when COD has low ttk. The feeling all of you are having where you die instantly but it takes 1000 years to kill anyone is caused by mid tier TTK which has been an issue with 2042 too. And going into ADS is not nearly snappy enough to feel like COD in the sense that you can quickly switch between dropping multiple people. It feels almost the same as 2042 felt to me gunplay wise which is not great at all. It sucks that BF1 is literally the only game in this entire franchise where shooting a gun actually felt good control wise. The gunfire sounds and feedback are amazing though, gotta give them props for that, playing this game is a treat sonically. I'm having quite a lot of fun so far but longterm the gunplay issues are probably gonna get annoying.

Are there gonna be servers with TK on? I'm honestly not interested when you can just spray past your teammates with zero concern.

vehicles are so weak compared to bf4 it's insane. helicopters handle 'realistically' which means with tons of inertia and float, you can't dodge rockets as easily, strafe as easily, but in some ways they're more powerful to compensate.

for example: the APC autocannon in BF4 always took 2 shots to kill someone unless it was a headshot on direct hit. It was like this so you never got a 'lucky' direct hit while spamming, making the ideal way to play APC to shoot the feet of people unless you're really skilled and can go for consistent direct hits. only the tank could direct hit. in bf6, the IFV's autocannon 1 hit kills people, but the cannon has a turn rate cap instead of being 1:1 sensitivity.

I somewhat like this because it feels like you're actually in a vehicle, but it also feels less skill based, like more milsim, less arcadey. Which is weird considering the rest of the game is more arcadey than ever? the balance in BF4 was very carefully tuned so that high skill people could express themselves, but now vehicles feel like a short-lived killstreak that are really 'weighty and epic' but you're not actually supposed to be a 'tank main' etc

I'm watching someone play the Beta and desu I don't think it's actually "fast". The TTK is faster but that's honestly not a bad thing, it's more like BF3 (which had it right). The movement really doesn't look faster, I think it's possible player movement was faster in the Alpha and also a lot of footage people are using to prove it have maxed out FOV. BF1 "looks" fast if you max out the FOV but it's an illusion, you're actually still just as slow, the sides of the view just move more quickly due to how they're distorted to fit on a flat screen. If you viewed it in a VR headset there'd be no difference in speed.

You can tell Zampella and his ex-COD gang made this game, the maps are not Battlefield maps. Cheating in general is always very exaggerated in my experience. I'd wager that at least half of all cheat accusations are just someone getting outskilled and that's being incredibly conservative.

I look at BF4 gameplay and it's so clear what's happening. there's absolutely no garbage cluttering the screen. you can tell exactly where you are on the map. there's no loud cracking constantly from shooting. the screen isn't violently shaking with cum effects in your eyes. there's not smoke covering every inch of the map. even good players are getting raped in this game because you're just blind firing into a hallway most of the time.

I think the servers are shitting themselves because the hit detection is much worse than earlier.

Yes, 100%. Whenever you actually see people moving around in third person (like after you die in close quarters) their third person model is twitchy as FUCK. It doesn't move with that kind of fluidity that the soldiers moved with in BF4. The soldiers in BF4 had a ton of idle and smoothed animations to make them always be jittering, it lended a lot of breathability to the look of them. Now it feels like cameras being piloted by 1200DPI janking around, but I will admit it feels good to play a COD-style shooter again

Those are all valid, I think if you have a chance to give them feedback it'll only help seeing as how that's probably what they're looking for with this Open Beta.
Most of my issues have to do with my own visual acuity issues, and neuropathy, but I still had fun and the game was running very well on a not top of the line machine even at High/ultra graphics.
Obviously the TTK is ramped up a bit and there's a bit of odd interactions with scopes and frame rate/having a hard time following/tracking but I feel like those will get smoother with time. The foundation is solid I look forward to seeing what they do if they're already on the right track this early.

Four shots to kill at 900 RPM is the fastest TTK in the game. Lower recoil with 20 damage would be a better representation of the weapon though.
