that's cute and all, but the GW that supports hobbying is long dead. they want you to buy the official models, assemble them in the official way and paint them in the official scheme with the official paints and brushes. their whole ecosystem is fine tuned to crush any hint of creativity. that's just how it's going to be with anything from nuGW. as far as they're concerned you are a cow to be milked and that's most efficient if you're plugged in and do zero thinking of your own.
if you want to warhammer on your terms you need to break the chains and free your group from servitude. play old or alt rulesets, source minis from wherever you feel like, and convert whatever seems cool to you. easier said than done though since a lot of existing players are so broken they can't even conceive of the hobby as it should be.
