Market is bigger but not hugely so. It just looks way bigger on paper. Zoomers play way less games than millennials and a large portion of the player growth on Steam has been from thirdies who spend very little on games.
I'd bet anything the market for premium games is smaller than it was a decade ago. Most people on steam are playing ancient premium games or F2P skinnerboxes.
