I just discovered GT4 for the first time and could someone explain how did this blatant skip got into game? From what I heard the third game was pretty brutal when it comes to difficulty. did they decide that fuck it, people are supposed to curate the level of challenge they want?

Like, at this point I might a well use cheats to get infinite money just to save a bit of time because the progression is completely busted.
